Sun risen fire, Only to end with desire. Because lust is the power, That gives us will to devour: To devour a loveless heart, Only to tear us apart. Drowning in a sea of emotion, Only to blame the fatal feeling of passion. Like a two-sided face, Now we must hide with disgrace. Because when we look over, It better be at someone other: Other than, Of a similar body. Other than, Of a similar tree. The mirror image is banned, From the alter within our hearts. If anyone ever asked me, I'd wish we never loved from the start.

Last Night

Daddy locked us up in the basement, Then yelled at us to stay quiet. He hurt sister and then mommy, Yet no one must know about it. Hardly with any clothes on, Scratches and bruises showing. Sad part was there were only two towels, So I gave them up, shivering. We slept on the ground, While daddy meandered around the above floor. Before I once had a love for this family, But now I am not even sure anymore. I stayed up till the morning light, To make sure they slept abound. Still I lie awake and write, Of a poem with a story so profound.

Every day I live, Yet I regret every breath. Sometimes I forget, I have a reason to avoid death. Too weak, too tired, To even move around. It feels like quicksand, Is pulling my feet into the ground. Every step that I take, Every move that I make, Causes me to tremble, And even start to shake. Say goodbye to my hair, My speech, And my muscles… I live with nothing but false hope, As for there is no cure for this puzzle. At least I can think, But as for my children, they cannot. Suffering from a physical disability and mental retardation, Sometimes it gets to be a lot… But what did I do? This was never my wish.

To me... ...She is the wind and the stars, And the beauty of the night. My antidote and pill; The person that makes me feel alright. The person that turns, My whole world around. Brings it back up, And turns it upside down. Her smile coincides, With the creasent moon. And her eyes like the wishing stars, I depend on to see her soon. She lights up the sky, And moves with the ocean's tides. She spins around in my heart, As I open my arms out wide. 1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning. 2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal. 5) Straight marriage will be less meaning

Scholarships

So...I would truly love to apply to as many scholarships as possible. Especially those for writing. It is always worth a shot, am I right? Some I can apply to just for being FEMALE! Which I think is quite interesting if I might say so. xD But I was actually interested in applying for scholarships an LGBT can only apply for. Problem is: my dad is beyond homophobic and my mother, even though she knows, would rip my throat off (exaggeration). I also am aware that to apply to these things, you'd have to be "out of the closet" but of course I have the main worries: What job will I get? Will I be able to just study and work without the criticism? W
